On Android, WhatsApp's "Export chat" creates a .txt file, or a .zip with the text and your media. Here's how to turn it into a clean PDF without a computer.
1. Export the chat
- Open the chat and tap ⋮ (top right).
- Tap More → Export chat.
- Choose Include media (photos inside the PDF) or Without media (text only, smaller).
2. Send it to the PDF tool
Fastest: install ChatKeep first (Chrome menu → Install app or Add to Home screen). After that, ChatKeep appears in the share menu right after you tap Export chat. Pick it and the chat opens ready to convert.
Alternative: in the share menu choose Files, Drive or Save to device, then open ChatKeep and tap Choose chat file.
3. Create the PDF
- Pick your own name so your messages go on the right.
- Tap Create free PDF preview.
- Download it, then open it from Files → Downloads to print or share.
Common problems
- "No messages found": make sure you picked the exported file itself, not a screenshot or a backup (
msgstore.db.cryptbackups can't be read). - Some photos missing: WhatsApp only puts media in the export if it is still on your phone.
